Severe Weather Update/Power Restoration

The severe weather ended in the DFW area just before midnight, but Oncor crews have continued working throughout the night to restore power.
Please be extremely careful in areas of visible tree damage as power lines may be underneath the fallen trees. Also be aware that many street lights and signal lights may still be out making travel hazardous- especially until after daybreak. Thanks for your patience and stay safe!

Severe Weather Update

The last warnings in the DFW Metro area expired at 11:45..(Kaufman and Ellis Counties). Oncor crews will be working as quickly as possible to restore the power outages across North Texas as conditions permit.
Thank you for your patience. And thanks for heeding the warnings and playing it safe this evening. Please remember street lights and signal lights may still be out in some areas early tomorrow morning. If you see a downed power line, call 9-1-1 and stay away from it. Severe Tstm Warning for Denton and Collin Counties up until 1:45. Large area of 1″ hail, 50-60 mph winds and flooding rains spreading from Southern Denton County and Collin Counties ENE at 30 mph. The worst of the storms should be over by mid-afternoon.

Severe Tstm Warning for Dallas County until 1PM. Severe storm near DFW/Las Colinas area moving ENE at 30 mph. 1″ hail and 50-60mph winds likely with the storm.
Areal flood advisories are up for Tarrant and Dallas Counties.
Storm warnings for Denton, Tarrant, Kaufman and Rockwall Counties will expire or be cancelled early because the storms are weakening. As in most cases, lightning and wind-caused power outages are following the storm tracks across the DFW metro area from west to east.
