The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) says our current high temperatures, running 6-7 degrees above normal for this time of year, have placed a high demand on electric generating capacity. It’s always in our interest to conserve electricity, but especially during the hottest part of the day between 3PM and 7PM.
During those hours, please try to avoid using the clothes dryer, hair dryer, iron, dishwasher and other heat-generating appliances. Not only does it place more demand on the power grid, but all that extra heat in your home will cause your AC to run longer and cost you more.
Always use what you need to stay safely cool, yourself!

Monday June 27 Forecast Update

Once again, much of North Texas is waking up to storm-related power outages. Winds of 60-70 mph raked across Wise, Parker, Denton, Tarrant, Collin, Dallas, Rockwall and Kaufman counties Tuesday night.
